PMAN to Nigerian Broadcasters- Remove Ban from Tuface, D’banj, and Others

The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has intervened in the conflict between broadcasters and some Nigerian musicians.
The Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) and the Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (IBAN) banned the airplay of some selected Nigerian musicians over payment of royalties as demanded by the Copyright Society of Nigeria, COSON. Some of the artistes affected by the ban include Tuface Idibia, D’banj, and Wizkid.

The PMAN, in a statement by its interim president, Kevin Lucciano, asked all parties involved to dialogue and resolve the controversy.
The association also called for the lifting of the ban describing it as unfair, demeaning and discouraging.
“The ban on airplay of these Nigerian artistes and their music on various Nigerian media platforms is from our standpoint very unfair, demeaning and discouraging.

Again;Kanye West Says He Is The Next Mandela

Kanye West is again under attack, and today - for claiming that he will soon be a bigger cultural and civil rights icon than Nelson Mandela.
In an interview with in chigago ,the American ,rapper said that yesterday’s death of the 95-year-old South African leader will finally allow people to focus more of their attention on West’s own accomplishments.

When Kanye was asked who, in his opinion, could possibly replace Nelson Mandela in terms of leadership, he responded,

“I am the next Nelson Mandela. I’m only 36 years old, and when I look at everything I’ve accomplished, it’s the only comparison that makes any sense. By the time I’m 95, I’m going to be a bigger hero than he ever was."

Ghanaian Star Sarkodie’s Design label “Sark” adds Female Jeans, Underwear & Shoes

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie‘s Sark design label has taken an unexpected turn.
After launching his clothing line early this year, Sark has announced that they will be adding female collections to the Sark stock starting from January 2014. In an interview he had with News-One Newspaper Ghana, the rapper disclosed that his fashion brand will begin sale of female jeans, shoes and underwear. According to the paper, Sark explained that it won’t be him “designing G-string for ladies per say. You know I have a partner who designs most of the stuff. She is a lady and we have also realized that we have a lot of females patronizing the shop, so we decided to capitalize on that and meet their needs.” “I have not seen the ladies underwear myself but I believe they would be nice. I have seen the pictures of the other products.” So, is this something you can add to your wishlist for Le Boo? Keep it locked here for sneak peeks and more on the new collection. only 4500 fans buys ticket for show at 19,000 seat area for kanye west show

I guess he is not as influential as he

According to the Kansas City Star, only 4,500 fans bought tickets to watch his show at 19,000 seat Sprint Centre Arena in Kansas on Tuesday December 3rd.

KCS reports that during his set, Kanye said 'I don't always say the right things at the right time. I'm better at saying the wrong things at the wrong time.'

Kansas City Star wrote:

"Kanye almost certainly could have filled the Sprint Center 5 years ago. Tuesday’s poor attendance indicates how his scandalous love life, frequent impolite pronouncements and his gradual shift away from conventional hip-hop have alienated many of his fans.'His Yeezus tour is not doing well at all. Not only are people not turning like they used to, he's also been forced to cancel quite a few shows due to technical difficulties.

He did not give details and the extent of ground shifting the federal government had done. The federal government had earlier given the resume-or-be-sacked ultimatum which should have ended yesterday, but later extended it to December 9.
Some universities have either resumed or announced their resumption dates, even as some others like University of Jos have vowed to continue the strike. The academic community in the university   staged a candle light procession in honour of the late former National President of ASUU. In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor, Pro…
